Witchers: This role has a strong focus on physical activities. There will be activities in the woods and the opportunity to fight monsters. Witchers are loners by nature, hated by humans and might face hostility for their very existence.
Witcher adepts: Similar to a Witcher, but less wary and experienced. You will have a close bond to a single person, and not necessarily the positive kind. This is a good choice if you want to play an inexperienced and (mostly) innocent character, who might also end up as a witcher.
Magic wielders: This role involves less physically taxing activities, since you will be spending more time with magical research and rituals. Magic wielders are often influential, but their power can attract dangerous attention and political intrigue. Select this role if you want to play on influencing and leading others, sometimes against their will.
Alchemists / mutagenists: As an alchemist or mutagenist you will spend time gathering rare ingredients, brewing powerful substances, and possibly conducting risky experiments. Focus will be on morally questionable choices and personal drama.
Priests / druids: Select this group if you are interested in advising and helping others in their efforts, without taking the centre stage. You will perform rituals, provide guidance in spiritual matters, and relay the wishes of the gods.
Emissaries: Select this group if you want to be surprised by your character and their potential. They might be a powerful noble, negotiating a deal for their king or queen, or a shady bodyguard with a dark past and an even darker secret identity. This group is the most varied in what it can offer. Some characters will spend their time trying to win the cooperation of the witchers, while more martial characters might find it interesting to witness or participate in a monster hunt. What is definitely true is that there are many loyalties, and some of those are hidden.
